you can't compare NA number differences to differences in japan. Japan rarely sees any console sell more than 100k period this time of year. Let alone have a difference of 100k.
Like the crazy story and some of the more boring combat it would be great. The game looked really good, and a lot of the battles were just EPIC. The special attacks were absolutely ridiculous too. Any game that lets me kill more than 3000 dudes in 2 seconds is alright by me.
Too many PS3 supporters just like to use usually unnecessary add ons to support the concept that the 360 is actually just as expensive, and it doesn't help that many of them take, quite literally, the most expensive route (ex. if you have a laptop you don't even need a wireless access point to use wireless live on 360, and it's $40 for 13 months now, not $60 for 12). In your case it might work that way, but everyone is not the same. A lot of people just want to play games as cheaply as possib...
What is $150 plus $200.
MATHSISURFRIEND!
At the old price and still haven't spent that much. They bought 1 extra controller (maybe 2 now), and they're perfectly happy with their system. They have spent the $275 + $50 for the extra controller. DONE.
$325 for a fully functional game system for a 4 person family last year with no extra money spent on anything but games.
when you compare an arcade unit to a PS3 you're only fooling YOURSELF. Why would someone that wants to game online and download things want an arcade console? The arcade console is designed just to be a gaming machine, and it does everything it promises to.
You can't tack on all those add ons when there are bundles for a much cheaper price.
You don't need a $100 adapter, you need a $30 wireless access point, and I can think of 4 houses of at least 4 people each that ...
how do you know where the average person has their router? I'm guessing the average person wouldn't mind moving it and using wireless for their PC, as the average user uses their internet for surfing the internet, not for gaming or downloading.
Also, why does the average user automatically need internet on their 360? I may as well say the average user is going to need to buy a car in order to drive to the store and buy blu-rays. That's like $2500! The PS3 is obviously more expens...
in america?
Alright, so you tell me ONE (just one) thing that I will need to play games on my arcade system if I buy one of the new european arcade bundles.
Just one. That's all. Tell me a single thing that I will need not in the box to PLAY GAMES.
edit: at below. And you'd be wrong. you get a free month with every new 360, and neither game in any bundle requires xbox live to play 100% of the game, sooo... question remains.
edit 2: sure? why not? do I need xbox live...
sony doesn't care about games and this is their way of throwing in the towel.
... or does that argument just work when microsoft doesn't have a presser at leipzig?
I said it wouldn't live up to the hype, and yes a lot of people have built it up nearly that much.
Too human wasn't a bad game. People just expected it to be on par with games like gears or ninja gaiden or god of war. It's not a perfect game, it's probably around an 80 truthfully, but because so many people were expecting a AAA title and the press got pissed at dyack, the game got bad reviews.
And not because it's bad, or anything is wrong with it.
It's because people have built it up to be the next coming of christ, and the fact of the matter is that it's not. It's a decent game, with so much hype behind it there is no possible way for it to live up to it.
It's the same reason too human was a "flop", people got expectations well beyond anything the game could deliver, and the game suffered for it.
He never mentioned the PS3, Banjo, or the 360. He was talking about LBP and LBP only.
Get a grip on yourself before you default to yelling RROD.
There's plenty of 3d platformers already. It's not a first step. If they do LBP2 3d, it'll be a step backwards to get back to where you already were.
I do think it would be a fun game fully 3d, but I just don't understand your justification that 2.5d is a first step towards it as there's plenty of 3d platformers that do it well already.
???
I must have got sucked in here by the vortex of you all shooting out of the 360 section when you saw "LBP".
edit: clearly... as this comment section is flooded with rabid fanboys jumping on the negative news rather than fans of the game rushing to support it in it's time of need. Dare I even to point you to the comment section of this article?:

except his facts don't back it up. They appear to at first, but M$ makes more than enough money off xbl to make up for it $500 million in subscriptions at least per year (conservative. Doesn't take into account >10million userbase or people that don't buy 12 months at a time), they get money from console sales, and they get money from XBLA and XBLM which are selling ~1 million pieces of content daily as of may.
They aren't pulling out of developers because the division is bad,...
It happens all the time. You hire on a lot of extra QA people and debuggers when you're in the final push. It's not surprising at all. They did have around ~200 employees, and they're only in early dev of their next game; there's no reason to have a full final QA team working on a probably barely working build.
clearly this has more color than the pics you gave?

I see maybe 3 things in that picture that are not a shade of green.
edit: ok... disagree... find the not green.
but that doesn't make him less of a douche.
also, lol @ jump beyond. I like that.
